Climb On (www.climbon.net), located in the south suburb of Homewood, is the most convenient climbing gym for U of C students and one of the least expensive. The gym is family owned and operated and features excellent toprope and sport routes. The bouldering scene is superb, especially since they opened a new wall and cave area in the fall of 2005. The atmosphere is very relaxed.

To get there, just take the Metra south to the Homewood stop and walk half a block to the gym. The building is just visible from the door of the Metra station.
